Not me MondayDrama?

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

This morning I did not bimbled downstairs around 5am to get the day started.

I did not really wake up on the loo. (end of details, don't worry!)

I came out of the loo, and did not see Joe the Fat Cat chase something across the floor. Neither did I praise him when he caught it. Nor did I become terrible stupid when Joe turned and looked at me with it. I did not tell him to stop playing with his food, either kill it or put it outside. I was not slightly confused when Joe dropped it. It scuttled off. Joe went after it, but slowly.

I did not just think "Weird", and prepare myself to find a fieldmouse body on the carpet when I got home.

R came down.

He asked about the squeaking. I did not tell him had caught something.

I did not cut up the apple for the guinea-pig. I gave it to the guineapig. I put some in the hamsters cage. The hamsters cage felt strangely empty..... unoccupied...... because it was.

Flashback.... the thing Joe caught and let go had no tail.

I was not stood on a chair in my dressing gown like something in a cartoon adding a few things together.

empty cage + Joe catching something tailless + Joe not killing it= OH NO!

I had not, clearly, encouraged my cat to kill the child's hamster. That definately didn't happen.

However, we soon recaptured Lightening, who was under the bookcase being confused by life, covered in catlick and has 1 small puncture wound and a bit of a limp. We can't get him into the vet until this evening, so we shall see how he goes. R is home this afternoon (we think) so he'll be able to keep an eye on him.

Great start to the day, and it's not even 5.30!

Must take.....
swimming kit
camera
KSW kit
blue book.

The AC gets his white belt today and we are so proud of him. He started something, he stuck to it, and he's achieving. He has a great work ethic, at 5! (6 in on Saturday Mummy!)
